The MidNite Solar Surge Protector Device (MNSPD) is a Type 1 device per UL1449 rev3. It is designed for both AC and DC systems and provides protection to service panels, load centers or where the SPD is directly connected to the electronic device requiring protection.The Midnite arrestor has passed testing at ETL. Listed to UL1449 rev3 in all 3 models. Making an arrestor such as the MidNite SPD’s is no simple task, nor is it cheap. We have had many surprises along the way on this project. The MidNite arrestor is a great replacement for Delta arrestors that have been the mainstay of the industry for many years. A very interesting comparison between the MidNite arrestor and other arrestors will be forthcoming once the product is listed. This comparison should prove to be a real eye opener.
