The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the Multigrid. It has all the characteristics of the MultiPlus and also the option to install an external current transformer to enable the PowerControl and the PowerAssist and to optimize the self-consumption with external current sensor (max. 32A). ESS: Energy Storage System
The MultiPlus-II is the key component of a Victron ESS system, as it offers the flexibility to combine it with MPPT solar chargers or grid-linked PV inverters. Examples and more detailed information can be found in the ESS (Energy Storage System) Manual.
Powerassist
The MultiPlus-II can avoid overloads of a limited AC source, such as a generator or port outlet. In the first place, it will automatically reduce the battery charge when, if not, an overload would occur. Secondly, it will take power from the battery to compensate the power of the generator or the mains.
Uninterrupted alternating current (UPS function)
In the event of a blackout, or of disconnection of the port or generator, the inverter integrated in the Multi is activated automatically and assumes the supply to feed the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.
Monitoring and remote control
Monitor and control your Multi and your system or systems locally (LAN) or remotely via the Internet from anywhere in the world with the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. Access can be done from a phone, a tablet or a PC with different operating systems. MultiPlus Energy Storage System, with ESS functionality
The MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger with all the functions of the MultiPlus, plus an optional external current sensor that extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions up to 50A and 100A respectively. The MultiPlus-II is ideal for professional use in the Marine field, recreational navigation, vehicles and terrestrial applications not connected to the network. It also has a built-in Antiisland functionality and homologations in every time countries for use as ESS. There are several possible system configurations. PowerControl and PowerAssist
Increase of the capacity of the network or of a generator. A maximum current of the generator or the network can be set. The MultiPlus-II will take into account the other AC loads and use the surplus current to charge the battery, thus avoiding overloading the generator or the network (PowerControl function). PowerAssist takes the principle of PowerControl to another dimension. When a power surge is required for a short period of time, as often happens, the MultiPlus-II will compensate for the lack of power of the generator, the port socket or the power supply of the battery. When the load is reduced, the surplus power is used to recharge the battery. Solar power: AC power available even during a blackout. The MULTIPLUS II can be used in photovoltaic systems, connected to the mains or not, and in other alternative energy systems. It is compatible with both solar charge controllers and network-connected inverters.
Two AC outputs
The main output is provided with the "no-break" function. The MultiPlus II is responsible for supplying the Cargasconectadas in the event of a power failure or the port/generator outlet. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption. The second output is only active when the input of the MultiPlus II has AC power. To this output you can connect devices that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, for example.
Almost unlimited power thanks to parallel and three-phase operation. Up to 6 Multis can run in parallel to achieve greater output power. Six 48/5000/70 units, for example, will give an output power of 25 kW/30 kVA and a load capacity of 420 amps. In addition to the parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for 3-phase output. But that's not all: you can connect in parallel up to 6 sets of three units that will provide an inverter capacity of 75kW/90 kVA and more than 1200 amps of load capacity. In situ system configuration, monitoring and control
The configuration can be changed in a matter of minutes with the VEConfigure software (you need a computer or a laptop Yuna-USB interface).
There are several monitoring and control options available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop, computer, Bluetooth (with optional backpack VE. Smart Bus), battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control panel.
Remote Configuration and tracking
Install a GX Control Color or other GX product to connect to the Internet. The operating data can be stored and displayed for free on the Web VRM (Victron remote Management). Once connected to the Internet, you can access the systems remotely and you can change the settings.
